Arts for Advocacy Student Guide

How can students promote WASH and other positive community changes through creative activities?

This guide helps students 12 years or older use arts-based activities for student-led, creative advocacy positive change, particularly in creating student WASH clubs.

The Arts for Advocacy Student Guide has been written so that the students in a school-based club can work through each activity themselves, learning about establishing and running student clubs that are inclusive and can address issues including those that are important for girls.  Along the way, students learn that creative activities such as painting, photography, video, drama, music, stories and dance are tools that tell powerful stories, raise visibility and inspire others to build culture and create stronger communities. Teachers can help this process using the accompanying Arts for Advocacy Teachers Guide.
